"José Vazquez "
Dancer - Choreographer - Teacher of tango argentino

José was born in the Almagro district of  I reddle  (?)
With his name, his father José Vazquez, gave him his milonguero-soul and love for tango.

José belongs to the new generation of tango dancers and teachers.

He has received many awards for his work from government bodies, associations of milongueros and milongas organisers, among which:

“Agazajo de glorias” awarded by Oscar Héctor and all the milongueros from the Club Glorias Argentinas.

José’s dance is unique, elegant and very personal, the result of learning with tango maestros from both the old and the new schools combined with his love and passion for tango. Among those maestros: his father José Vazquez, Alejandro Montini, Carlos y María Rivarola, Gustavo y Héctor Chidichimo, María Nieves, Augusto y Miguel, Julio Balmaceda y Corina de la Rosa, Rino y Haydee, Gabriel Missé and Alejandra Mantiñan with whom he worked as an assistant for many years.

Blending classical and new steps, José retains the original essence of tango: "the embrace". The speed, precision and quality of his interpretation just leave us breathless.
As an actor, José has worked in major Argentine TV productions such as “Por siempre Mujercitas”, “Ricos y famosos”, “Alta comedia” and many others.
He also took part in the first Evita movie “La razón de mi vida y muerte”.
